A non-acid nail primer is used before applying gel or acrylic to improve adhesion between the product and the nail. Unlike an acid-based primer, it does not contain methacrylic acid, making it gentler on the natural nail plate and suitable for thin, brittle nails.
Why a non-acid primer is needed:
1. Creates excellent adhesion between the nail and the coating.
2. Prevents lifting and chipping.
3. Protects the nail, as it does not damage its structure or dry it out.
4. Does not affect the color of the base coat.
How to use a non-acid primer:
1. Prepare the nail plate: buff the surface, remove dust, and wipe the nail with a cleanser.
2. Apply a thin layer of primer to the entire nail. It does not require curing in a lamp and air-dries within a few seconds.
3. Once dry, you can immediately apply the base or another material.
Non-acid primer is ideal for clients with sensitive nails or those who may have allergic reactions to stronger products.
